📌 Conversational Sentences & Words

I was on a blind date yesterday. : 나는 어제 소개팅을 했어.

I will be on a blind date tomorrow. : 나는 내일 소개팅을 할 거야.

 

Set A with B : A 를 B 랑 소개시켜주다.

예문) I set my friend with my sister.

         My boss set me up with his son.

 

End up Ving : 결국 ~ 하게 되었다.

예문) I ended up crying all day.

         I decided to be on a diet, but I ended up failing.

         I ended up quitting my job.

         She ended up marrying another man.

 

I’m not too crazy about ~ : 그다지 ~ 안좋아한다.

예문) I’m not crazy about anything.

친하지 않으면 You looks like ~ 같은 보이는 것에 대한 칭찬은 하지 않는 게 좋다.

칭찬을 하려면 I like your hair, your eyes 처럼 내 감상으로 칭찬하는게 좋다.

📌 English Patterns

1. I'm kind of ~. : 좀 ~ 해요.

예문) I’m kind of tired. : 좀 피곤해요.

         I’m kind of exhausted. : 좀 기진맥진했어요.

         I’m kind of drained. : 좀 진이 빠졌어요.

         (exhausted / drained 는 tired 보다 더 피곤한 것)

         I’m kind of nervous. : 좀 긴장돼요.

         I’m kind of jealous. : 좀 질투나요.

예문) I’m dying to see/miss you. : 정말 당신이 보고 싶어요.

         I'm dying to give it a try/shot. : 정말 시도해보고 싶어요.

         I'm dying to taste it : 정말 맛보고 싶어요.

         I'm dying to see the movie : 정말 그 영화 보고 싶어요.

 

5. I'm okay with ~. : ~이 괜찮아요.

예문) I’m okay with whatever you choose. : 당신이 뭘 선택하든 괜찮아요.
